Broken Door

This unfortunate story starts with a washing maching falling off a pedestal and busting up an antique door with glass panels. (Someone may have gotten in trouble for over-loading the washing machine).

I do enjoy this type of project; preserving the original look and feel of the door while maintaining the structural integrity is a fun challenge. This job required replacing three pieces of glass and re-building the internal rails.

I was able to re-use many of the broken pieces, re-inforced by glue and metal pins, to maintain the original look of the door, while ensuring they were strong enough to support the glass panels.

The final result looked great, and the door is back in place. I assume the washer is secured as well. 😁
